We know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort: QT for Tue Mar 20, 2018, read 2 Cor 1;

Though the gospel we believed is the gospel of peace and hope, it is also the gospel that causes us suffering and hardship that will prepare us for the glory we would share with the Lord Jesus here on earth as well as in the coming age. The Lord is teaching us to suffer for the sake of Christ, but also is assuring us about the comfort to share by His own ministry in us as well;
• What could we observe the call we’ve received from the Lord as we embraced the Lord
Jesus? See also Phil 1:29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to
believe on him but also to suffer for him,
• What must have caused Paul to be willing to suffer for the Lord and encouraged people
to suffer for the Lord as well? also Rom 8:17-18 Now if we are children, then we are
heirs–heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ if indeed we share in his sufferings in
order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not
worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
• What would be true for those who join in the life of suffering? See also Gal 6:7-8 Do not be
deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to
please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to
please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
• What is the Lord saying to you about your own suffering for the Lord as well for the
people around?
• What would you like to do in response to His voice?
