The authority the Lord gave us for building you up rather than pulling you down: QT for Wed May 30, 2018, read 2 Cor 10;

Though Paul is mentioning of his authority as an apostle of Christ for the ministry among the Gentiles, he considers it as an authority to build people up rather than tearing them down. For the Mission of the apostleship of Christ is to preach the gospel and see the kingdom of Christ expanded into the life of the people;

What could we observe the authority we have been given by the Lord? See also Mt 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

What could we observe apostle Paul’s attitude about the authority given to himself? See also 1 Cor 9:15 But I have not used any of these rights. And I am not writing this in the hope that you will do such things for me. I would rather die than have anyone deprive me of this boast.

What must have motivated Paul to use his authority in such a way? See also 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

What is the Lord saying to you about your own attitude to use your authority/ power/position to build people around?

How do you want to respond to His voice?
