“Our lives for your lives!” the men assured her. “If you don’t tell what we are doing, we will treat you kindly and faithfully when the LORD gives us the land.”: read Josh 2;

Rahab decided to join the people of Israel the people of God of heaven and earth at the cost of her life. The Hebrew spies saw her confession of faith in their God and promise her that they sure will treat her as well as her father’s household kindly and faithfully. Who has been put on our path by the Lord that we should treat him/her kindly and faithfully for the glory of God?

What could we observe faith of Rahab in the way she treated those men with kindness? See also Heb 11:31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.

What could we observe God’s way to reward those who saws seeds of faith and kindness? See also Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

What could we observe the way those Hebrews accepted Rahab into their community from the way she became one of king David’s ancestors? See also Rom 15:7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

Whom do you see around you that God led that you need to practice acceptance and unity with?

How do you want to be a community with them?
